| The Government
of India has notified Recycled
Plastic Manufacture & Usage Rules,1999 vide notification
dated 02.09.1999. Board is the prescribed authority for enforcement of
provisions relating to manufacture and recycling of plastics. The Board has the responsibility to implement provisions in the rule regarding manufacture and recycling of carry bags and containers. The Board has the responsibility of restricting the manufacture of carry bags of thickness less than 20 micron.

Permit
has to be obtained for activities connected with the manufacturing and
recycling plastic carry bags and containers.
