KERALA
STATE POLLUTION CONTROL AWARD
The Kerala State Pollution Control Board, has instituted the "State
Pollution Control Award" which is distributed every year
on the World Environmental Day (June 5th ). The application for award
is to be submitted when the same is invited by the Board through public
media.
The award is given to industries and hospitals based on their pollution
control activities during the previous year. Awards are distributed
separately for large, medium and small industries, classified on their
capital investment. Hospitals are divided into two categories based
on the number beds.
The award for the best pollution control performance consists of a trophy,
certificate of merit and cash prize. Certificate of merit and cash prize
are awarded for the second best performers from among the all categories
of industries. Certificate of Appreciation is issued to those placed
third.
