Revised norms for submission of Stack Emission Monitoring Reports

The Board in its 131st meeting decided to implement the following revised norms for submission,
to the Board, of periodical stack emission monitoring report under the Air Act.

Sl. No.	Type of Industry	Periodicity
1.	Boiler of steam generation capacity 5 t /hr or less	As and when required by Board
2.	Boiler of steam generation capacity more than 5 t/hr but less than 10 t/hr	Once a year
3.	Boiler of steam generation capacity more than 10 t/hr	Once in six months
4.	Brick kilns	As and when required by Board
5.	Heaters/Oven/Choolas/Digestors in SSIs	As and when required by Board
6.	Gold refining in SSIs	Once a year
7.	Furnaces in Small Scale Industries	Once a year
8.	Limekiln with production capacity of less than 5 tonne/day	As and when required by Board
9.	Limekiln with production capacity of more than 5 tonne/day	Once a year
10.	Rice mills/Paddy processing units	Once a year

Fresh Consent to Operate under the Air Act shall be issued with the periodicity mentioned above.
Consent condition regarding submission of periodical reports shall be modified at the time of future
renewals in the case of existing Consents.
